My résumé
ABOUT ME |
You can continue to use the tabs above to dive deeper into the various sections of my résumé if you wish. This section deals with my personal details - my interests, my background and so on.
I grew up in London, in the UK, and lived there until I went to University in Manchester, in the North of England. After University, I spent two years abroad doing missionary work and then returned to London to work there for the next several years. I married in 2002 and we (so far) have one daughter, who was born in 2005. We moved to Boston in 2004, and lived there for three years before moving to New Jersey in the Summer of 2007.
Among my interests are:
- Photography - an on-again off-again hobby which has been rekindled recently by the purchase of a fancy new digital SLR camera. See my Flickr page for some early attempts.
- Spending time in New York City - we now live close enough to make regular trips to the city a possibility, and have made good use of this opportunity, including taking lots of pictures and spending time with family living in the Bronx and Harlem.
- Rooting for the Yankees - I became a baseball fan when we arrived in the US and although they've yet to repay my interest in them with a World Series win I live in hope and take heart from what happened to the Red Sox during our first few months in Boston.
- Movies - I'm a big fan of movies, especially older ones, including most of Alfred Hitchcock's but also many others from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.
- Politics - I've always been keen on following politics and although my lack of US citizenship keeps me from voting in US elections it doesn't prevent me from being actively interested in domestic and international current affairs.
